“Glattpark” is developing into a new urban district with up to 7,000 residents. One of its highlights is its own lake – a unique feature from which the “Hamilton View” development benefits thanks to its idyllic location directly on the waterfront. Across two buildings connected by several passageways, W. Schmid AG developed and constructed a total of 200 condominiums ranging from 2.5 to 5.5 rooms, acting as real estate developer, total contractor and building contractor. The development was specifically designed to support intergenerational living and includes both a childcare centre and a home-care service. Energy efficiency also played a key role in the project. All apartments were equipped with smart-living technology, allowing residents to control electricity consumption and heating via tablet, increasing comfort while helping to reduce energy consumption.
